The Full Stack
Every accessory, certified end-to-end.
Buying restaurant hardware piecemeal turns into a parts-compatibility puzzle in week three. CaPOS accessories ship pre-certified for every CaPOS terminal — receipt printers find their POS automatically, cash drawers kick on the first transaction, barcode scanners map to menu items without a config file in sight.
- Auto-discovery: plug it in, CaPOS recognizes it, it works.
- No third-party driver downloads, no firmware juggling, no version conflicts.
- Updates pushed automatically — accessory firmware stays current without your involvement.
One Vendor
One number for every part.
When something breaks at 9pm on a Friday, you don't want to hunt through three vendor support lines. CaPOS accessories share one warranty, one return process, one support number. We replace, we ship, we follow up. No 'that's a third-party issue' deflection.
- 3-year warranty across the accessory line — printers, drawers, scanners, mounts.
- Same-day shipping to major Canadian metros for replacement parts.
- 24/7 Canadian support — one phone number, one ticket, one resolution path.

Receipt printer died on a Saturday night. We called CaPOS support, they had us up on a backup printer in under 20 minutes, and a replacement shipped Monday morning. Zero finger-pointing. One vendor for everything pays off when something breaks.

The auto-discovery is real. We added a second cash drawer, plugged it in, restarted the Solo. It just showed up in the till assignment menu. No driver, no IT call, no config file.

Our impact kitchen printer holds up to 60°C grill-line heat. Thermal printers used to die every six months back there. The impact unit is in year three, still printing.

Frequently asked questions about CaPOS Accessories
You can bring third-party hardware if it speaks standard protocols (ESC/POS for printers, OPOS for scanners, drawer-kick for cash drawers). However, certified CaPOS accessories ship pre-configured, share one warranty, and one support number — most operators choose certified gear after their first compatibility issue with a third-party device.
Every certified accessory ships with 3-year hardware coverage. If it fails, we ship a replacement same-day to major Canadian metros and arrange return shipping for the defective unit. No deductible, no parts breakdown, no third-party RMA process.
Yes — impact kitchen printers (matrix-style) handle continuous heat up to 60°C, which is what most kitchen lines actually run. Thermal printers fail in heat; impact printers don't. We recommend impact for any back-of-house station within 1 m of a hot line.
Both. USB wired scanners (cheapest, most reliable for counter scanning). Bluetooth wireless (most flexible, used for curbside, inventory receiving, scanning at the back door). 2D scanners read QR codes for loyalty redemption and curbside pickup.
Typically yes — each terminal that opens a drawer needs its own. However, two terminals can share one drawer if both have a drawer-kick cable and the workflow doesn't require simultaneous opening. We'll spec your install during onboarding.
Yes — every CaPOS terminal supports VESA 100×100 standard mounting. Our accessory line includes counter pedestals, wall mounts, articulating arms, and floor-standing pedestals. If you have an unusual mounting need, we'll spec a custom bracket.
Tell us. Most 'one-off' accessory requests we get are common enough that we either already certify a third-party version or can add one to our catalogue in 30–60 days. Reach out via the form below or call our specialist line.
